NEW YORK (PIX11) -- New York City has endless opportunities for food, fun, and entertainment, and now there is an app to help keep you in the loop.

The Pike app, developed by New York native Brandon Lee Heard, curates guides for almost any experience, including restaurants, clothing stores, parks, and museums.

"We developed Pike because there is so much going on," said Heard. "How do you keep track of it? I think we live in a moment where we discover so much from Instagram and TikTok, and we screenshot and save things on our notes app."

The Pike app allows users to organize experiences, create shareable guides, and follow friends and tastemakers.

"When you open the guides, you can see where you are in relation to all of the different places. There is a Discovery Feed, which will show you experiences that you love and experiences that you've never seen before. It makes searching for new things a secondary behavior. The guide will also show you photos and a map view of all of the different locations," said Heard.

Users can bookmark their favorite guides and experiences and organize them into private folders of public guides for others to see.

"The guides are all user-generated. We love that because we are democratizing the cool places, and a big part of why we did this was to put the taste back into the hands of the tastemakers. In a place like New York, there are so many talented people and so many individuals with cool ideas."
